Since 11-11-11, i've only found 6 or 7 ore veins before. Only if my pointer was accidently pointing at one as I passed. I couldn't see them. I got this mod called glowing veins 300 from the Skyrim Nexus site, that makes the ore veins glow.

Given that Todd Howard claimed that Skyrim has an infinite number of quests, having a number set in stone for ores seems kind of counter-intuitive.
